Education, our core business

Together with a number of partners, the Stichting Projecten Zuid-Afrika - South Africa Foundation selects and supports local projects and organisations in South Africa. Our 'core business' is education.

Three programmes

Our activities are divided into three programmes:

• Out of school child care programme. We support local projects which care for children after school or during the school holidays.
• Child sponsorship programme. Sponsor parents support children by paying (part of) the school fees at primary and nursery schools. Together with our partner the Centre for Early Childhood Development we have developed an empowerment programme for nursery schools.
  
• Scholarship programme.Township-youngsters who work for the community as a volunteer may qualify for a scholarship.

Sharing information

We consider sharing of information, skills and knowledge as part of our job. We have assisted several South African organisations in getting in touch with other organisations and donors within our network.
