Why Organizations and Schools Support SPZA PDF Print E-mail

Model example

"The South Africa Foundation's initiative and approach (including the local schools/organizations) are perfect examples of the move toward sustainability, including self-reliance." Cordaid

Mutual learning

"Impulsis supports SPZA projects, particularly because children and young people from rural and urban disadvantaged backgrounds are provided with a better connection to (secondary and higher) education and work. This is done in various ways, including explicit attention to the target group's personal circumstances. Every year between 4,000 and 5,000 children and young people are reached, children who otherwise would have had difficulty or no chance finding schooling and work. The knowledge and life skills that they acquire are essential for their development, making them more positive, functioning contributors to their lives. A large group of volunteers and professionals is involved in the projects both in South Africa and in the Netherlands and there is a clear interaction. The learning process is mutual!" Impulsis

Deacons School

"Many of the children became so much more aware of and interested in children in SA who were not as fortunate as themselves." Head of Deacons School (UK) after a fundraising campaign for holiday schools.
